📢 PUBLIC RECORDS UPDATE: They Redacted the Principal — Until We Called Them Out

On June 24th, we received employee records from Palm Beach County Schools for Washington Elementary.

But something was clearly missing…

❌ No mention of Dr. Vernicka R. Murray, the current principal.
❌ A “Principal Elementary” listing appeared on Line 145, redacted and labeled “EXEMPT.”
❌ No assignment, no salary, no name — completely hidden from the record.

🚨 We called it out. Here’s what we posted:

“While your response includes two individuals listed as principals — one marked ‘exempt’ with a retirement date, and the other not identified as Dr. Vernicka R. Murray — there is no listing whatsoever for Dr. Murray, who is currently acting as the Principal of Washington Elementary.

If she is not employed or not officially assigned, under what authority is she functioning as Principal?”

We formally escalated the omission and demanded:
✅ Proof of her assignment
✅ Legal justification for any redaction
✅ Full public access to her employee record

💥 RESULT: THEY BACKED DOWN

We received a revised version of the file.

And there she is:
📍 Line 91 — Dr. Vernicka R. Murray
🗂️ Full title, salary, and assignment.

What was hidden is now public — because we demanded it.

🧠 LESSON: Public records belong to the public.

You shouldn’t have to fight to see who’s running your school.

We’re reviewing every record they’ve sent. If we find more games, we’ll call them out again.
